MultiView Set To Host A Half-Day Symposium on Association Data

November 21 02:10 2018

IRVING, Texas – Creating a better understanding of the critical components of data management – acquisition, protection, and practical use – is the main hallmark of MultiView’s Association Data Symposium, held Nov. 29 at the Embassy Suites in Alexandria, Va. The event brings together membership, marketing, and technology executives for structured educational sessions and open discussions centered around one of the key assets of any association – its data.

“Today, there’s a large shift in the way associations operate – and data is a huge part of that shift. To truly be successful, every association should have a data-driven mindset,” said Scott Beford, MultiView’s CEO. “No longer can organizations create value based on what they think their members want or need. They must take advantage of data to drive decisions or risk becoming irrelevant to members and the industries they serve. It’s our hope that this symposium hones in on that mindset shift and attendees take with them some great ideas on how to improve their data.”

Through strategic educational sessions, the symposium takes attendees through a journey of data acquisition, management, and ultimately, succinct use of the data for marketing and communication efforts. Speakers are data experts with extensive experience in the association space. Speakers and topics include:

  • David Ricciardi, Proximo – Data as a Strategic Asset
  • James Koons, TrustArc – Data Governance for Privacy, Confidentiality and Compliance
  • Wes Trochlil, Effective Database Management – The 10 Most Important Rules for Managing Data
  • Joe Macaluso, MultiView – How Associations Leverage Data for Marketing Efforts

In addition, a panel discussion will provide use cases for association data. Panelists include: Ricciardi; Julie Sciullo, CEO, Association Analytics; Karine Blaufuss, CAE, Director, Business Data and Intelligence, American Geophysical Association; and Tim Ward, President, Gravitate Solutions.

Due to high demand, registration for the event is now on a wait list. But association executives in the Washington, D.C., area can place their name on the list by going to https://bit.ly/2DNaM97 and clicking “Register.” At the conclusion of the symposium, MultiView will distribute an executive summary covering the key themes of the event.
